Week 1 - Pawsitively Wild Safari
July 2-5 - $395 The word “safari” is derived from the Swahili word “safar,” which means journey or travel. Originally used by hunters, a safari now refers to a guided trip or expedition to observe and appreciate wildlife in their natural habitats. Each day we will travel on a different virtual safari! Game Drive, Walking Safari, Hot Air Balloon Safari, Photography Safari and Boat Safari! |
Week 2 - Farm to Table
July 8-12 - $495 We explore the world of different farms and how they make it to the dinner table. Each day will feature fruits and vegetables, flowers, farm animals, herbs and other items that travel from land to the dinner table! With field trips to Davison Orchards, Planet Bee Honey Farm, Lavender Farm, Dirty Bee Flower Farm and More! |
Week 3 - The Great Outdoors
July 15-19 - $445 We learn about the great outdoors right here in the beautiful Okanagan and how to live with wildlife in our region. We will learn about bears and how to be bear aware while hiking and at home, swinging like monkey's in the Trees at Oyama Ziplines Monkey Park, and taking part in animal-themed crafts and activities with a focus on learning local, like raccoons, deer, cougars, and of course beavers. We will also cover plant identification and go on local nature walks. |
Week 4 - Crikey! It's the Outback
July 22-26 - $445 Join us as we visit the Kangaroo Creek Farm, Australian animal-themed crafts, learning about Australia animal habitats, and animal conservation virtually with the Irwins. |
Week 5 - Reach for the Stars!
July 29-August 2 - $445 We learn about about the solar system and constellations, visit the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO), build our own rocket, and solar system. |
Week 6 - Not All Stars are Found in the Sky - August 6-9 - $395
We take a virtual tour of the ocean and lakes and what can be found in different waters from animals to landscapes. We learn about jellyfish, starfish, whales and oceanography as well as about our local lakes and finding trout, salmon, river otters and more! |
Week 7 - Come Fly with Us, Let's Fly, Let's Fly Away - August 12-16 - $445
The weeks field trip will include a visit to the RF Centre for Excellence to learn about planes and then off to learn about helicopters before we virtually take flight on tours of famous landmarks around the world, from Paris to Japan and United Kingdom to New Zealand, trying international foods, and learning about different cultures through stories, videos and crafts. |
Week 8 - A Trip Back in Time is Timeless
August 19-23 - $445 All aboard the Kettle Valley Steam Railway to learn about the history of trains, along with visits to the Kelowna Museum and West Kelowna Museum to learn about local history, and historical crafts and games. |
